Product Tips
- Once Layering Paint Activator™ is added to the Layering Paint™, the mixture should be used within 1-2 days.
- Stir in Layering Paint Activator™ until it is just mixed together with Layering Paint™. Over-mixing or constant stirring can cause the mixture to liquefy and lose some of its texture.
Basic Application
- Take care that the work surface is clean and free of dust and grease/film.
- Add 2-10% of Layering Paint Activator™ to tinted or untinted Layering Paint™ to thicken the material. The more Layering Paint Activator™ added, the thicker the material becomes. A few of the greatly desired effects that can be created using Layering Paint Activator™ are peeling or chippy paint and aged wax.
- Apply the material by sponge, pouncing brush, flexible trowel or chip brush depending on the overall desired effect.
- Applied mixtures are easily sanded once completely dry.
