Crème Activator™

Creme Activator™ is a product that was designed to work between separate layers of Faux Effects™ SetCoat™. The Creme Activator™ material creates a poor bonding layer, allowing the artist to remove the upper layer of SetCoat™ in decorative patches thus exposing the first or background color layer of SetCoat™. The decorative result is a chipped or worn off Old World paint look.
Product Specifications
Basic Application
- Apply one or two coats of SetCoat™ (color of your choice) and allow to dry (2hrs).
- Next apply a layer of Creme Activator™ and allow to dry pproximately 1/2 hr. or until dull in appearance.
- Then apply two coats of SetCoat™ (different color than base coat) and allow to dry a least (2hrs).
- Art work may be applied (if desired) upon this top layer of SetCoat™.
- When art work has completely dried, scrape of areas to expose the first layer of SetCoat™ (metal or plastic spoon works well)
- Last, apply antique Faux Creme™ glaze. When dry, topcoat with Faux Effects™ AquaThane™ Topcoat, or solvent base clear coat.
