PlasterTex®

• For a more refined, less sandy plaster finish, apply clear or tinted Venetian Gem® Finish Coat or a thin Venetian Gem® color coat until the exact grain and color is achieved. This will even out the PlasterTex™ surface.
• Up to 25% of Olde World Lime Paint & Wash™ or Lime Slag™ may be added to PlasterTex™ prior to application. This will act as a burnishing agent and is very effective when used as a final coat.
• Depending on the application, burnish the work surface with a high-quality stainless steel trowel or block of wood. Using a lesser quality trowel may blacken areas of the finish during the burnishing process.

• For best results, apply two coats of SetCoat®. Allow the first coat to dry a minimum of 4 hours before applying the second coat. Let the second coat dry a minimum of 24 hours.
• If desired, tint PlasterTex™ with FauxCrème Color™. Untinted PlasterTex™ will accept tint more readily.
• Using a high-quality stainless steel trowel or plastic trowel, apply PlasterTex™ evenly, 1/16” to 1/8” in thickness. Let dry a minimum of 4 hours or until dry to the touch. Drying time will vary depending on conditions. To achieve a distressed plaster finish, apply additional layers of PlasterTex™.
